Step 8: Get Online Visibility
Transcript
Visibility (online) is super important. If you are not putting yourself out there, people cannot find you. And I invite you to come from being generous– sharing yourself, generously and authentically. So authenticity and generosity are two building blocks. With regards to generosity, don’t be afraid to put snippets of advice and wisdom out there. People need to feel your flavour. People need to sense what is it that you can actually give them? What are the benefits? So highlight the benefits of working with you. Share stories from your past clients and their success. And authenticity is giving it all your flavour and revealing your essence. Because again, when, when people are choosing a coach, they are choosing someone to be in a very deep, meaningful, and personal relationship with. So they need to be able to like you and resonate with you. They need to be able to feel who are you? And see, this does not mean sharing some soap opera level drama stories from your past, and because nothing is more off-putting than fake or their abilities. So please don’t do that. You don’t have to do that. Please only share what you feel authentic and real about sharing.
But authenticity means first before you post anything, drop-in, connect with your heart and check, huh? Why am I posting this? Am I posting this? Because I’m craving attention? Am I posting this? Because I think that this type of post will give me more likes? Unfortunately, in modern-day, social media, it’s often the ones who screamed the loudest that get all the attention. But if you want to get their attention from the right people, the only thing that can make a difference is staying in your essence. Not needing to always go for the shiny objects and the latest trick. You don’t want to push yourself onto the audience. You rather want to be truthful in who you are, share truthfully, what you are about and not hide that behind any artificial techniques or methods.
I would rather advise to deepen into your authentic self and to deepen into what you want to share regardless of what everyone else is doing, because that is your unique signature of your soul, of your heart. And when people feel you ask you are, and when you share your unique medicine, your gifts, your essence, your wisdom that is so different in it’s feeling from everyone else. When you’re working with that soul signature kind of style and essence and presence online, when you base your visibility on who you are in your true essence, that will then create a field of resonance around you. So people can, first of all, they will notice, Oh, this one is not a liar. This one is actually walking the talk. This one is not just another, you know, um, cookie-cutter person. This one is actually somewhat different. This was the first thing.
Even if they don’t like you, they will notice that you are being truthful. And second, some people will come in resonance with [a] unique frequency. So you being visible sometimes, it’s misinterpreted as being more, uh, putting more of yourself all over the place. But guess what? When you, especially when you’re just starting out, you can’t be everywhere. And there will always be someone who has more followers, somebody who has bigger Facebook ads, budget, and it’s just going to buy uh, their followers or their audience.
So a long term strategy is to be authentic and to do that consistently. To do that over and over and over again, staying in your lane, staying in your core, being connected with yourself, putting yourself out there, truthfully show showing who you are, sharing, what you’ve got. And also one more visibility tip. Don’t make it all about you. Make it about the people, engage with your audience, ask them questions, give them what they want to hear about and build connections. Visit other people’s pages, comment like, engage, share in Facebook groups, give advice, respond to posts. So it’s not just a one-sided thing.
If you want to be visible, make other people visible by engaging with their content, build friendships, create a community online. So be there like you would be in real life that is the online space. And with regards to offline visibility, just also come from, okay, generosity and authenticity, where is my wisdom needed? What can I contribute? What can I give? Go into networking events, conferences, and treating each and every opportunity as your chance to make friends not going there for you know, as a Hunter-gatherer, uh, okay. I’m only here to, to get some clients to, to share business. Cause because people feel that vibe when you are only there to get something, but when you come into a networking event, come was the context of, oh, I will make one meaningful connection today. And even if you spend one evening talking to one person, this person can become your friend.
Actually, I had that experience at one of, um, uh, events that Val was organizing. I came there, I was seated next to this girl and we basically talked only to each other that whole evening. And we became friends. So I walked in with the context, I will have one meaningful conversation today. And I walked away having, having built a new and new friendship that will be with me for years. And I think that we always need to slow down, come to our truth, come to our authenticity, come to our essence and just know that what is yours cannot miss you. You just need to be there, show up and be who you really are.
People often ask, “what is the best way of putting myself out there?” And my answer is the best way is the way that is right for you. It is the way that allows you to show up at your best to give your wisdom and to be your authentic self. And this is going to be unique for everyone. And see, this is actually a mindset thing. If you think that it is about the method, it’s about the right platform or the right way, then you are actually, what you’re doing is you are externalizing power to some outer authority. Like there is the platform that is going to be better than something else.
But I invite you to pull the power back to you because it is you, who is the platform. You are the platform. Everything else is just the vehicle you are using Instagram, you are using Facebook. You’re using coaching platforms where coaches showcase himself, simply as vehicles for your self expression. But instead of focusing on external solutions and finding the right, focus on being the right one, how can you be the right coach for your clients? How can you embody walking the talk? How can you be so magnetic and so authentic that people will come into connection with you and then find any platform that allows you to play to your strengths. Be that media or writing or audio, whatever it is, just find the platform that allows you to reveal your best side, your strong side, and use that. And you know, any platform can be the right platform, as long as you know that it’s not the platform that has the power but it’s you who has the power.
