What makes LinkedIn totally different from all the other social media and networks is that it’s very much focused on the professional conversation.
So if you compare LinkedIn to Facebook or Instagram, you will not find anything too personal on LinkedIn, because this is not what people search for it there when they are on that platform. So if your target audience is B2B, LinkedIn is definitely the place to go and the place to be, and to build up a strong presence, because LinkedIn is all about business. It’s all about sharing professional knowledge. And it’s all about showing off your professional success and showing your product. So, especially if you’re in B2B, if you’re catering to other businesses, you need to be a LinkedIn you really have to. The other good thing about the channel is that you can gain traction and visibility, really quickly. If you have the right content, that’s a three thing to distribute. The other thing would really be to engage in conversations because often times when you’re a LinkedIn, you get the impression that all those companies and professionals are sharing things about their success, about their achievements, about their goals and plans.
But on the other hand, you might get the impression that you lack a conversation that you really lacked something like a discussion. What you can do, and this is quite advisable. If you want to grow your metric on LinkedIn, because it’s all about the people. It’s all about the connection to all the people and all the different companies that are there that might become your potential customers. What you have to do is to engage with their content as well. So it’s not only about producing and distributing your own content. It’s also about engaging with the content of other companies, which are your target audience. Just be there, start a conversation, grow your network. And you know what, don’t be afraid to ask the people to give you a feedback on your content, because this is what makes it really interesting.
And this is what invites people and companies and businesses to follow you. And then again, in the end to get interested in your product and click on that by now.
