Writing a book is such an amazing opportunity to really showcase exactly who you are, what you stand for, and what your value is. Writing a book definitely is a long process and you have to commit to it and you have to put a lot of time and money investment into it, but I think it really helps you to solidify exactly what your values are, what you want to say compared to, say, a blog article or a LinkedIn article. You’re really putting value and time into making it quality and not just another piece of content on the internet.

Writing a book is a really great way to have people engage with you and your personal brand or whatever your product or company may be about, and it’s in ways that you may not originally expect. So, it brings you together online and offline with people to really have a conversation and it’s totally up to you how you make the most of that. So writing a book means that you can actually go to events and talk about that book. It also means that you can connect with people that might be interested in the subjects that you’re writing about. And of course online you can offer people perhaps like a sample of the book  and that also gets them to engage with you.

Writing a book can do a lot for your brand identity. I think writing a book gives you a chance to really think about who you are and what you stand for. And that’s really what your personal brand is all about. And it’s a way to put your message out there to the world and see how it’s received. Writing a book sounds like a very difficult thing to do, but actually once you get into it, it’s no more difficult than anything else you do on a day to day basis. You just have to put time and commitment into it and say this is a project that I really want to do. There’s so many books out there and there’s so much great content available to really convince people to engage with you and pay money, for example, to buy your book, you really have to be offering something unique.
