The First Step to Start Listening to Your Intuition

I think about how certain decisions make you feel. So for example, if you make a decision and you walk out of the, of the building or the place where you made the decision, how do you feel leaving that situation.
And really get a grasp on what’s actually a positive feeling within you and what’s actually a negative feeling within you. So those two things actually, you first need to determine. And then once you know what actually feels good and whatnot, you can try to tune in and see which one comes up, even in the situation. So let’s say, for example, you’re in a discussion with a potential business partner, you’re in the discussion. And now because you trained it, you can already turn in and see what your gut is saying. Are you feeling good in the situation? Are you feeling like there’s something off you can’t really tell what it is? You don’t have any facts, but you know, that something is not really feeling right.
Tune into that feeling. And that is the thing that I think is most important in all of this.
To trust the first thing that comes up, because usually let’s go back to the example of having a discussion with a potential business partner. Usually, what we do when a weird gut feeling comes up, for example, something tells us something mhm is off. Something is not right. What our brain will do first is [to] find all the facts why this is BS. So it will tell you facts that actually say, okay, no, it’s just, you know, you’re just being scared or this is not really what’s happening. So [there are] there’s all these campaigns going on in your mind that will tell you otherwise. When the first thing that you actually thought, “well, something is not right”, it is what you should listen to.
And that is not an easy thing that has to be practised and practised and practised. [The] first thing coming to you is usually the right thing. And that is something that you can start right now to practice. What are the first things coming to you? When a friend tells you something when your family tells you something when the news [is] are going on when you have a business conversation, what are the first feelings that you get?
Become aware of these and learn to respect them and to actually value them. Because the first things coming up, that is usually your intuition, but it’s usually very quickly covered up by all these external thoughts and reasons why it’s not actually valid when really it is. So what’s the first thing coming to you?
