During the last years I worked in Berlin and with a fantastic experience because I was really in contact with entrepreneurs willing to open their startup. And there, you could really see that they were working, applying very lean and agile approach in order to steer their businesses and in order to making them truly successful. And I strongly recommend anyone who wants to open a startup to use a lean approach and especially consider this customer development process. So the idea of getting in contact with the customer early in order to truly understand what their needs, what their problems are, what their desires are, and to validate, and to go through loops of quick iteration and testing, because the experience from my classes for my students that were entrepreneurs was that sometimes resources were scarce both in terms of time and finances. And so there was often risk that by planning, by wasting, by using a lot of time to plan, to make business models and to start producing something, they had the risk to really invest too many resources, both in terms of time and finances and not to have a second chance to redo the loop fully. So I always recommend to any entrepreneurs, especially when it’s at its first trial and at the beginning to fill himself or herself with a lot of courage, a lot of positivity, because I know that once you get a bad feedback from the customers it’s really not a nice time actually can be very depressing, but the true job of the entrepreneur is to always be positive or to always take new ideas and new opportunities, remembering thats can be just a minor change in the product or a difference or a new partnership or the arrival of an investor or the right team member that might change, or the course of the events, and might turn your idea into, or your startup into a successful venture, a successful business. So never give up and remember always to be agile and lean.
