To organize an internal branding effort, it’s really important to get your employees involved and find out what they think about the current brand and how they can contribute to its development. Your team obviously lives and breathes the company and the brand. So if they like the brand, it’s more likely that they will act as champions for it. Internal branding is just as important as your external branding, as all your employees are able to influence and affect your customer’s perception of your brand. So a company handbook can be a really great way to get your whole team aligned and you can make it really nice. Have lots of cool imagery, include the brand story and the personality. Obviously, brand guidelines are also critical. And this ensures your entire team are clear on how the business and employees represent themselves. This can be work in progress. It doesn’t have to be, you know, 80 pages to start off with. It can be a document that develops with you and your company over time. We’re currently at Battalion going through a rebrand and new website design and we’re reviewing all of our different touch points at the moment. So we’re having a workshop each week where we’re bringing all key stakeholders, the entire team together and we’re setting goals each week. I think it’s a really nice way for you to get all your team involved and also to remind yourself of all the great talent that your company has and how they can all get involved in making the company look and communicate itself better.
