SEA is basically, you would say this big umbrella of advertisement or everything that’s about search engine advertisement and paper click is just a small amount of the different advertising options that you have. You have things like native ads, you have Google paper click, you have Facebook. It’s just so broad out there, I would say SEA is the big umbrella and everything else comes underneath that. SEA is paid advertising. So, you put your ads or you pay for advertisements and you bid and like a platform, usually the person with the best bids and the best ad quality gets seen better, quicker, faster, cheaper than someone like say with low ad quality. It’s being you know paid to play. To sum it up, SEA is very powerful when it comes to generating awareness and generating potential lead for your business; and if you want to get results right away.
In my opinion, creating an ad campaign that’s effective, you have to try out different ad sets and of course, this all depends on your budget, right? So there’s people with big budgets who can throw out 40 bucks a day and just say, “Hey, okay, I got my results. This ad is not working. Let’s try something else.” But for a lot of young entrepreneurs or people just starting out, they can afford between five to 10 euros a day. So it’s all, what’s important it’s about testing out you’re creative, testing out the words you’re using, your call to action and also your offer. I would say if you have like a small budget between 5 to 10 euros or 5 to 10 dollars a day, sense it up for five days, see if it’s getting engagement. And if it’s not, if it’s not getting any traction, no website clicks, no actions, then cut it immediately.
My favorite tool – and I recommend that for everybody is SEMrush. And that’s my favorite tool because you can spy on your competition. So basically you can see what keywords they’re using. You can see what’s budget they have, and you can see what their ads look like. For the people whoever say “hmmh, SEMrush is kind of an expensive option”, because it is expensive. It’s 99 dollars a month or 99 euros a month. Then you can use spyfu – spyfu.com. And that’s a little bit of a lower price alternative for you to see how much your competition is spending, because that’s how you can start swimming with the fishes basically is finding out what they’re doing to kind of give yourself a start, give yourself a bit of the headstart and find out hmm these keywords I can use these keywords I can’t. I don’t have the budget for this, or I do have a budget for that. So I think tools that allow you to see what your competition is doing are big help. You have to think about your product and how your client is going to think about what’s the best way to attract them, right? So, When you’re doing E-commerce, Google is direct buyers. People actually searching hmm what kind of paintings can I use in my living room, for example. That’s a perfect opportunity to show your ads.
