You must have taken on the narrative that the future is female and I actually like to really state the future is feminine. Because I do see a difference in the words of female and feminine and let me try and explain what I think the feminine is, and particularly what qualities are associated with the feminine. So, for me, feminine qualities are compassion as we spoke about, but also nurturing, also being, uh, present, uh, having the ability to tap into our wisdom – into our intuition, having the ability to be more in-in gratitude, and equally creativity.

So, these are some of the qualities I see as feminine, whereas the masculine qualities are things like intention, responsibility, direction-setting, clarity, forward-thinking, uh, everything that has more of a dynamic in it. And it’s really important for each one of us, whether you’re female or male, and that’s where I see the differentiation between feminine and female, that each one of us actually has feminine and masculine attributes in us.

And we’ve been sort of raised into this world probably more from a patriarchal perspective i.e., the planet has been grown by our patriarch mindset. And it’s really time now to blend in the feminine, meaning not to take everything over and just be in a feminine world, but to actually bring, as I said, intention so: purpose, vision, direction-setting, assertiveness, clarity, responsibility, and pair that up with being: compassionate, being vulnerable or I like to say being present. And allowing these three to shorten it: purpose, presence, and compassion to be qualities we hold in each of us and, uh, bring that to the light.

So how can we combine or how can we balance the masculine and the feminine? I think we need to, first of all, just ask ourselves in which of these qualities am I already exercising? So, for example, I know for myself that when I was running a company, I had grown to really overemphasize my more masculine qualities. And therefore, for me, it was important to become softer and to allow myself to show more my feelings and to not be as assertive or as directional as I had been. So, basically bringing my masculine attributes back into a more healthy state and allow myself to show up more as a person or as an individual as I am, and therewith share feelings.

But I also think it’s really important for many female leaders today, particularly young female leaders to actually bring themselves into their masculine qualities. And what I mean by that, maybe a nice image is that – that warrior – that spiritual warrior who knows exactly where she is going and has the courage to really stay on her path and allow for what she wants to happen. And equally though remain in a – in a place of balance, in a place of calm, in a place of peace while doing that.
