I’m not a huge fan of the net worth because it’s actually only assets minus debts, and this is too easy for me because I think we also have other assets which are like soft skills and what helped me a lot was of course looking at my finances. Do I own a lot? Do I have assets around me? Do I have capital? And also see if I have debts. Did I take loans for whatever I needed it for? But my key factor in net worth actually is my soft skill; optimism, hope. And this combined with hard work and discipline is I think the key factor for being also financially independent and to keep track of that it’s really important. Always check in with yourself. Am I still really believe in my project or do I have more doubts than before? And check that also with your actual income. Do I have the financial resources or background to go my path? If I’m really into founding a company or something. So I think that my tip for you is just have it parallel running next to your business idea because sometimes you could just get lost in dreaming of a lot of your own ideas. But sometimes it’s just looking at the hard facts. So, it’s always good to be aware of your net worth but combine it with soft skills.
