Georgia Kalantzi

Co-founder and CEO of AlongRoute Data, operating commercially as AlongWave.

I am a Physical Oceanographer with a PhD in wave modelling from the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK, and more than 20 years of combined experience across academia and the private sector.

My background spans physical oceanography, wave modelling, ocean-data analysis, GIS, innovation and business strategy, with a particular focus on turning complex scientific knowledge into practical solutions for industry.

At AlongWave, I lead our strategy and commercial development as we build proprietary marine-weather intelligence for better decisions at sea. Our work combines ocean observations, physics-aware AI and deep oceanographic expertise to deliver historical ocean-condition reconstructions, marine-weather forecasts and custom metocean intelligence at global scale.

As CEO and principal founder, I lead the company’s strategic direction, product vision, fundraising and investor relations, while developing commercial and strategic partnerships across the maritime ecosystem. I also coordinate our multidisciplinary team and work closely with customers to ensure that our technology solves real operational and commercial problems.
My focus is simple: build scientifically strong technology, turn it into products customers genuinely need, and scale AlongWave into a globally trusted marine-weather intelligence company.
